It opened in Singapore in February 2026, offering an environment that faithfully carries forward the philosophy and craftsmanship of its flagship location in Ginza.

Realizing Authentic “Sushi Arai” Beyond Japan

Located in Tokyo’s Ginza district, Sushi Arai is recognized as one of Japan’s most distinguished sushi restaurants. The sushi crafted with exceptional skill by master chef Yuichi Arai is highly regarded both in Japan and abroad.

Ginza Sushi Arai Singapore has opened as the restaurant’s first overseas location and faithfully carries forward the philosophy of its flagship in Ginza. For its development, OYAMATSU DESIGN STUDIO oversaw the design, ITAI KOMUTEN handled the sourcing of interior materials and provided technical guidance during construction, and SEMBA carried out the construction.

The interior comprises an eight-seat sushi counter and a private dining room, characterized by a minimalist Japanese aesthetic. The space incorporates traditional materials such as Kiso Hinoki and Kitayama Cedar, showcasing the craftsmanship and sensibilities central to Japanese design culture.

Drawing upon nearly eight decades of proven expertise in design and construction, SEMBA leverages its broad experience across commercial facilities, office environments, public transportation spaces, and other diverse sectors. The company established its first overseas subsidiary in Hong Kong in 1984, and has since developed its international business through operations in Taiwan, Singapore, Shanghai, Vietnam, and Malaysia.
