Selected for the 54th Japan Sign Desgin Award (2020)
The ramen restaurant IPPUDO opened a new location in Le Thanh Ton, the busiest shopping area in Ho Chi Min City Vietnam. We created the concept “Conventional IPPUDO + hope for ramen fitting into Vietnamese food culture = IPPUDO Vietnam” and based the design on it. We created a façade evocative of IPPUDO by incorporating Chinese spoons into the area behind the glass wall. It’s dot pattern melds analog and digital, thereby depicting the inheritance and development of “Conventional IPPUDO + Future IPPUDO.”
